What Kind Of High Fiber Dog Food Should I Feed My Dog?

I got my dog (boston/pug mix) from a farm that didnt take care of her at all and although she doesnt have parasites anymore, the damage they did when she was a puppy has left her intestines in rough shape (poor girl). This has lead to having constant diarrhea. My vet put her on a high fiber prescription dog food and its seemed to help but its pretty pricey. Are there any decent high fiber dog foods that wont cause me to spend more money on dog food than my own food?!

    You need to buy premium dog food. Do some researching online to compare ingredients.

    Try feeding her her regular food mixed with some well cooked brown rice. Ive seen dogs fed brown rice and carrots for aggression so it cant hurt dogs, but brown rice has a lot of fiber so feeding her normal dog food for other nutrients and brown-rice for fiber might help

    Feeding a higher quality food will help some but if you can’t purchase one then add some canned pumpkin or canned yams to her food.Also feeding baby carrots and Post shredded wheat cereal for treats help..Make sure it’s post sugarless small bites..mine love this and I have’nt had a problem in 3yrs but I do feeed a holistic food alond with the treats..you can also add a sprinkle of Benefiber( recomended by my vet when I was having problems)..just add a 1/4 teas. 2 x’s a day.. till solid then cut back to 1x a day
