  You should switch her to Blue Buffalo or Wellness puppy foods, IAMS is very low quality. The proper feeding amount would be on the bag, and unless told otherwise by a vet, it’d be the best guide as to how much you should feed her.
  Add: As for the injections, I would listen to the breeder. Have the shots at 12 weeks. Until then, just keep an eye on her when she’s outside. It’s unlikely she’ll get sick, but don’t take her to pet stores or dog parks until then.

  Danes Doesn’t Sit is right, Iams is a low quality brand and I think u should get Royal Canine Food okay. Anyway, yes, labs do have a tendency to overeat. Only give it one cup of food okay?

  Yes I fell for the always looking hungry thing with my lab puppy too and over fed him. Don’t worry he is not hungry just bored. Give him a good bone to chew on instead of food. I don’t know if you have deer antlers where you are, but they are excellent for lab’s because your puppy will love to chew on everything. Just feed your puppy according to the instructions on the bag of food and limit treats. Also be sure to have lots of fresh water around all the time because you have probably found out by now that Lab’s love water!
  Not sure why your vet wants to do the second set of shots early, but I would question them on that one. I have another dog and two cat’s and it was never even considered that my puppy should have the shots early. You can take your dog outside before these shots are given, but you can not take your puppy to a place where a lot of other dog’s are going to be. Of course with potty training your puppy will need to go outside sometime. Limit contact with other dog’s unless you know them and know that they have had all their shots.
  Good luck. Lab’s are a handful, but they are also the best dog’s ever!

  By choosing a higher quality kibble, you’ll most likely be able to feed her less. That’s because brands like Iams don’t offer adequate nutrition and are often air-puffed, whereas better kibble is rich and dense, so less is more.

  - If she’s still hungry, then give her a little more. If she becomes at all chubby, then you’ll know you have to cut back. This isn’t really an exact science. If she’s literally constantly hungry, you can give her some foods that are voluminous but low on calories, such as green beans. That will help fill her up without causing her to gain unnecessary weight.

  - None of us can really give you that because all dogs are different. All dogs have different appetites and needs. For instance, at roughly four months of age, my older Mastiff ate about four cups of kibble a day, and my younger Mastiff ate about six or seven cups. Both were healthy, they just had different appetites and needed different amounts of food. The best place to begin is to check the recommended serving on the bag of kibble, though. Start with that amount, and if she’s still hungry, adjust the amount accordingly.
  Oh, and some bags give the recommended amounts differently.. I mean, some brands might give you the amount recommended each day instead of per meal. If so, make sure you’re splitting the meals into at least two per day, preferably three.   Puppies should be on three meals a day and amounts are based on the weight of each pup. You will find this information printed on the back of you’re dog food.Do not fall into the trap if you’re dog is always scrounging for food you have too feed it THREE meals are adequate You can ask you’re vet or local pet store for a measuring cup to ensure that you’re pup is getting the right amount of food.
  As for the second injection my pups got their first injection at 8 wks and will be getting their next injection at 10wks allowing them to go out at 12wks .
  If this is you’re first pup i would also look into enrolling in some obdience classes as not only would it benefit you and you’re dog it is also good socialising for you’re pup.

  we have a 13 year old lab, and yes they will over eat, we over fed her for so long, but a good amount is 1 cup in the morning and 1 cup at dinner time, and no people food..this is important to the health of the dog, trust me. If you trust your vet listen to them.
