Does This Shelter Even Care About Their Dogs?

First of all my nearest shelter doesn’t spay/neuter most of the dogs, and why are they saying ”Oh too many dogs, why do people breed them!?” and they are the ones in the first place who don’t spay the girls and boys in their place. They were also putting up for adoption newborn puppies!!! Who in the world would do that having the mom with them!. They only seem to care about the cats, the cats are all neutered/spayed with plenty of air and water and toys. The cat’s room is so clean and when you go into the dog’s there is poop in their crates, the room smells BAD and they don’t check the temperament on the dog. They find a dog, its up for adoption.

    Well, I don’t know any shelters around here that spay or neuter the dogs. When you adopt you sign a paper saying that you will do it or have a chance of them taking the dog back. With dogs I know alot of people breed them and then cannot find homes for them, so maybe that is why they are saying this. Also just because one person that works there says ignorant things doesn’t mean that is what the shelter owner thinks.
    The shelter in my old town is bad, your shelter is no where close to as bad as this one! I won’t go into detail because it’s heartbreaking.

    All dogs and cats need good homes. It isn’t their responsibilty to spay and neuter them it is yours so you should just be glad they are providing food and shelter for them and not complain.

    Umm first off spaying and neutering is very expensive because it depends on money. Not everyone has money.
    2rd I had a dog which could poop every 1hr.
    3th they may or may not check temperament you don’t know for a fact now do you. Usually they check soon as they come in or before he/she goes.
    4th they put up a adoption so they have owners ready to get them soon as they are ready to go.
    5th The rooms when you go into a shelter usually smell bad but if you work there it usually becomes a regular smell.
    6th dogs will bark and some growl or whatever when you go into the dog room. Common sense.
